You need a QR code exactly when you have no time: minutes before a talk, on a poster, in a handout, in an email. Online generators ask for the link, show ads, and half of them insert their own redirect — so the code dies the day that service does.

HyperQR-code takes the URL of your open tab and draws the code in the browser. The link is encoded directly, with no shortener in between, so the code lasts as long as the page itself.

What it does HyperQR-code

Four ready-made styles

Classic black, bright blue, inverted white on dark, and a holographic hybrid, so the code fits the slide or layout instead of fighting it.

Logo in the centre

Upload an image and the code rebuilds around it while staying scannable.

Built-in verification scanner

Scan the generated code inside the extension and confirm it points where it should — before it goes to print.

One-click PNG download

The image drops straight into a deck, a document or an email.

No sign-up, no waiting

Open a tab, get a code. No accounts, no limits, no ads.

Entirely local

Neither the link nor the image is sent anywhere — generation happens in the browser.

How to use it

  1. Open the page whose link you want to encode.
  2. Click the HyperQR-code icon — the code appears immediately.
  3. Pick a style and, if you want, upload a logo.
  4. Verify it with the built-in scanner and download the PNG.

Who it is for

  • Put a code on a slide so the room can open your material on their phones
  • Produce a brand-coloured code for a printed handout
  • Add a logo-bearing code to an event poster or booth
  • Move a long link from your desktop to your phone in seconds
  • Generate a code for a guide or policy on an internal portal

How to install

  1. Open the extension page

Click “Add to Chrome” — it opens the official Chrome Web Store listing.

  2. Confirm the install

Chrome shows the permissions. Press “Add extension” to confirm.

  3. Pin the icon

Click the puzzle icon next to the address bar and pin the extension so it stays visible.

  4. Open it

Click the icon. No account, no payment, no configuration needed.

Edge, Opera, Brave, Arc and Yandex Browser install it the same way — they are Chromium-based and open the Chrome Web Store directly. If your browser asks for extra confirmation, choose “Install anyway”.

Frequently asked questions

Will the code stop working if I uninstall the extension?

No. The link is encoded into the image itself with no redirect service in between, so the code works independently of the extension.

Can I put a logo in the middle?

Yes. Upload an image and the code rebuilds around it while remaining readable to scanners.

Can I match my brand colours?

Choose one of the four styles — bright blue or inverted white, for example — so the code fits the deck or layout.

Is the URL sent to a server?

No. The code is drawn in the browser with no network requests and no data collection.

Can I encode arbitrary text instead of the tab URL?

The extension is built for the fast path: it encodes the address of the page you are on.

What format is the download?

PNG, which pastes cleanly into PowerPoint, Word, Figma and email.
