An ordinary notification lives three seconds and gets dismissed by reflex. An hour later it turns out you never left your desk, never drank any water and never took that pill on time.

HyperAlerts works differently: the reminder unfolds over the page with an animation and starts a break timer. The pause has to be lived through — one minute or five — rather than waved away. Snooze and skip are still there, of course: the schedule stays yours.

What it does HyperAlerts

A schedule that fits your day

Fire at a specific time or at regular intervals inside a working window, say 9 am to 8 pm.

Days set per reminder

Each reminder has its own weekday set, so work habits and home habits do not collide.

A break timer, not a toast

The countdown turns a reminder into an actual pause that is hard to ignore.

Snooze and skip

With a configurable delay — if you are in a meeting, it comes back later.

Your own titles and notes

Every reminder can be worded the way you think about it.

Two cats to choose from

Ginger, Bengal or random — plus optional sound and duplication into Chrome notifications.

Sensible defaults out of the box

A walk every 60 minutes (9 am–8 pm, Mon–Fri, 5 min), medication at 9 am and 9 pm (1 min), water every 90 minutes (10 am–7 pm, Mon–Fri, 2 min).

Entirely local

No network requests, no accounts, no analytics, no ads: settings live in the browser's local storage.

How to use it

  1. Install the extension — three reminders are already configured.
  2. Open settings and adjust times, intervals and days to your schedule.
  3. Set how long each break should last.
  4. When a reminder fires, sit out the timer or snooze it.

Who it is for

  • Get up from your desk every hour instead of twice a day
  • Actually drink water during working hours
  • Take medication on schedule while you are at the computer
  • Get a heads-up a few minutes before a meeting
  • Rest your eyes and stretch during long stretches of work

How to install

  1. Open the extension page

Click “Add to Chrome” — it opens the official Chrome Web Store listing.

  2. Confirm the install

Chrome shows the permissions. Press “Add extension” to confirm.

  3. Pin the icon

Click the puzzle icon next to the address bar and pin the extension so it stays visible.

  4. Open it

Click the icon. No account, no payment, no configuration needed.

Edge, Opera, Brave, Arc and Yandex Browser install it the same way — they are Chromium-based and open the Chrome Web Store directly. If your browser asks for extra confirmation, choose “Install anyway”.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from normal Chrome notifications?

A normal notification disappears in seconds and is dismissed automatically. Here the reminder unfolds over the page and starts a break timer, so the pause is actually taken.

Can I set a reminder for weekdays only?

Yes, weekdays are configured separately for each reminder.

Does the extension collect data?

No: no network requests, no accounts, no analytics, no trackers. All settings are stored locally in the browser.

Are there reminders ready after install?

Yes: a walk every 60 minutes, medication at 9 am and 9 pm, and water every 90 minutes — all editable or removable.

What if a reminder fires during a meeting?

Snooze it with the delay you want, or skip it — the schedule stays intact.

Can I turn the sound off?

Yes, sound and Chrome notification duplication are both optional.
