Filling in an Excel report means typing paragraphs into a cell two centimetres wide, losing your row and constantly landing in the wrong column. It gets worse when the sheet is an export from some system, full of hidden columns and merged cells.

HyperKPI changes only the input experience, never the file. Each row appears as a card: target and deadlines on the left, a large answer field on the right. The saved file keeps its original structure — logos, column widths, merged cells, print settings, formulas and every worksheet.

What it does HyperKPI

Cards instead of cells

Target on the left, answer field on the right, full-screen editing — you can see the whole text.

It understands your sheet

Columns are identified by header names rather than column letters, so exports from any system are read correctly.

Visible content only

Filters and hidden columns stay out of the way; cards show what actually needs filling in.

Targets split into bullets

A long formulation becomes a list, and overdue dates are highlighted.

Formatting that survives the export

Bold, bullets and coloured text are preserved and render when the file is opened in Excel.

Automatic draft saving

Your text is never lost, and it can be migrated into a new export when one arrives.

Shared-folder mode

File locking stops two people editing the same report and overwriting each other.

Nothing in the file breaks

Logos, column widths, merged cells, print settings, formulas and worksheets all stay in place.

How to use it

  1. Click the HyperKPI icon and open your .xlsx report file.
  2. Rows become cards: target on the left, answer field on the right.
  3. Write answers full screen, using lists and emphasis where useful.
  4. Save the file — structure, formulas and formatting are unchanged.

Who it is for

  • Fill in annual goals and performance reports without fighting narrow cells
  • Collect commentary across a large action plan
  • Keep reporting in a shared team folder without overwriting colleagues
  • Migrate drafts into a new export when the template is updated
  • Format long answers as lists so reviewers can actually read them

How to install

  1. Open the extension page

Click “Add to Chrome” — it opens the official Chrome Web Store listing.

  2. Confirm the install

Chrome shows the permissions. Press “Add extension” to confirm.

  3. Pin the icon

Click the puzzle icon next to the address bar and pin the extension so it stays visible.

  4. Open it

Click the icon. No account, no payment, no configuration needed.

Edge, Opera, Brave, Arc and Yandex Browser install it the same way — they are Chromium-based and open the Chrome Web Store directly. If your browser asks for extra confirmation, choose “Install anyway”.

Frequently asked questions

Does it damage the original file?

No. Logos, column widths, merged cells, print settings, formulas and all worksheets are preserved unchanged.

Does formatting survive in Excel?

Yes. Bold text, bullets and colour are written into the file and render in Excel.

What if the report lives in a shared folder?

A file-locking mode applies: while one person edits, another cannot overwrite their changes.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. It runs entirely offline, with no site access and no data transmission.

What happens when a new export of the sheet arrives?

Drafts are saved automatically and can be migrated into the new file without retyping.

Are hidden columns and filters respected?

Yes — only visible content becomes cards, so service fields do not get in the way.
